The Policy Institute at King's College London addresses complex policy and practice challenges with rigorous research, academic expertise and analysis focused on improving outcomes. We work together with policymakers, practitioners and others on complex challenges affecting society.

King's College London is a research-led university it the heart of London. King's has over 31,000 students (including more than 12,800 postgraduates) from some 150 countries and over 8,500 employees. King's provides world-class teaching and cutting-edge research. In the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF) eighty-four per cent of research at King's was deemed 'world-leading' or 'internationally excellent' (3* and 4*).

King's Strategic Vision looks forward to our 200th anniversary in 2029. It shows how King's will make the world a better place by focusing on five key strategic priorities: educate to inspire and improve; research to inform and innovate; serve to shape and transform; a civic university at the heart of London; an international community that serves the world. The Vision demonstrates how King's will continue to inspire future generations, through a rounded education, to be the critical thinkers, problem solvers and change-makers the world needs. Through the highest quality disciplinary research and interdisciplinary collaborations, King's staff and students will contribute insights into and solutions for the world's many diverse challenges. As a community of staff, students, partners and collaborators, King's will serve the needs and aspirations of society both locally and across the globe.
