The University of Kent

https://www.kent.ac.uk/

The University of Kent is one of the country's leading academic institutions producing world-class research, and leading the way in many fields of study. We were ranked 17th in the UK for research outputs and research intensity in the 2014 Research Excellence Framework (REF) and awarded gold in the 2017 Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF).

The University of Kent combines the strengths and opportunities of a long-established, full spectrum university with a combination of dynamism, social focus, innovation, interdisciplinarity and community spirit.

We are a forward-thinking research institution, committed to the transformative power of education and research and to the development and support of our students and staff. Across our UK campuses in Canterbury and Medway, and our European study centres in Brussels, Paris, Rome and Athens, we teach nearly 20,000 students. We are international in our outlook, with students from over 150 nationalities and 40% of our academic staff from outside the UK.

Kent's founding mission in 1965 was to become a great civic university. As such, we are committed to ensuring that our research addresses real issues and contributes positively to society, by engaging with potential users and beneficiaries across the research lifecycle.
