The University of Warwick

https://warwick.ac.uk/

The University of Warwick is one of the UK's leading universities, with an acknowledged reputation for excellence in research and teaching, for innovation, and for links with business and industry. We consistently perform strongly in the UK league tables, ranking 7th overall in the UK in the last research excellence framework, with 87% of our research scoring 'world leading' or 'internationally excellent'. And we're proud to be among the top 20 'most international' universities in the world. Warwick is home to roughly 26,500 students, more than 9,500 of which are international students from 147 countries. Of our 2,500 academic, research and teaching staff, roughly 42% have non-UK nationality.

Excellent disciplinary and interdisciplinary research lies at the heart of our University. We undertake boundary-breaking research, pushing the limits of knowledge and delivering tangible and lasting impact to the world outside of academia. Through our research and its impact, we're producing transformative solutions to the global challenges of today and the future. Our research is changing the world, making lives healthier, safer, more resilient and more fulfilled. Our Global Research Priorities programme addresses some of the most challenging problems facing the world today, providing a platform for multidisciplinary research in key areas of international significance, from food to sustainable cities, energy to innovative manufacturing.

We have close collaborations and partnerships with a number of other universities, research organisations and institutions around the world. Some are international university partnerships, enhancing our position as a globally connected University, while others are UK collaborations covering a range of academic disciplines, research and other more specific endeavours. And we're as respected for our teaching and business collaborations as for our research. We're ranked fourth in Europe for our teaching and learning environment (Times Higher Education Europe Teaching Rankings 2018). Some of our outstanding teachers are regarded as among the very best in the UK and many of our teachers are among the world's best researchers. This means that, regardless of subject, students have access to some of the latest innovation and thinking. We also apply this innovative, cutting-edge research to industry challenges, working with businesses from global corporates to SMEs and local start-ups. Our pursuit of excellence and intellectual curiosity is tireless and we're renowned for our entrepreneurialism and cosmopolitan outlook.
