Lancaster University is a highly ranked, global university and consistently placed in the top 15 in major UK league tables.
Its research is making a difference from examining the impact of the pandemic on our coastal towns to harnessing citizen science in tackling water pollution in Windermere and using state of the art linguistics to document local accents and changes in the English language. 91% of Lancaster University’s research is independently rated as ‘internationally excellent’ or ‘world leading’as part of the Research Excellence Framework.
Lancaster’s teaching has also achieved the highest gold award standard in the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) and according to its own analysis, is joint 4th in England for partnership working and using research to create positive economic and social impact, as measured by the Knowledge Exchange Framework.
The University is one of only a handful of universities in the UK whose work is recognised by the National Cyber Security Centre.
