In this episode of CAPEcast, Stephen Meek (Institute for Policy and Engagement, University of Nottingham) talks to Jonathan Slater, former Permanent Secretary for the Department for Education (2016-2020)
We explore the issues of how policy is designed up front, exploring how policy moves from announcement and press stories into delivery, impacts on the public and what lessons there are for researchers in helping to shape policy that works in practice as well as in theory.
