The ‘Rebuilding a Resilient Britain’ programme launched in June 2020 to asses priority areas of the UK’s recovery from the pandemic based on government departments’ Areas of Research Interest. Through the establishment of nine working groups on these themes, government departments were able to identify and better understand their current science capability and engage with an external evidence base to support policy development in these areas.
The Government Office for Science’s summary report can be found on gov.uk.
The reports from each of the working group can now be found on UPEN’s website.
The nine priority areas are: Vulnerable Communities, Supporting Services, Trust in Public Institutions, Crime Prevention, Supporting Lower-Carbon Local Economies, Land Use, The Future of Work, Local and National Growth and Trade and Aid.
