Audrey Tan
Audrey has spent the past 5 years working in various policy engagement and public engagement roles at University College London (UCL) and Queen Mary University London. Audrey is currently the Impact Manager for Equalise, a UCL-based research centre addressing health inequalities in the UK. Passionate about supporting others to bridge the gap between academic evidence and policymaking, they joined the Professional Development Subcommittee in 2023 and have led on the mentoring programme and training webinars.
Seeing UPEN’s value for bringing together like-minded knowledge mobilisers, Audrey recently co-founded LUMEN, the London Universities’ Knowledge Mobilisers Engagement Network. A research methodologist by training, they previously worked for the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), Cochrane, and the World Health Organization (WHO), conducting systematic reviews of clinical evidence to inform policy decision-making.
