Wrexham University is a dynamic and inclusive institution rooted in civic responsibility and driven by impact. Since achieving university status in 2008, we have grown to serve over 6,000 students across three campuses in North Wales. Our development has been shaped by the needs of our students, partners, and communities—locally, regionally, and increasingly, globally.
We are proud of our deep local engagement, exemplified by partnerships with leading cultural and educational organisations such as Xplore! Science Discovery Centre, Tŷ Pawb, and Theatr Clwyd. Our commitment to civic engagement extends to cross-sector collaboration, working with public, private, and third-sector partners to address social challenges across the region, especially through our Civic Mission to tackle inequality.
Wrexham University is an emerging research hub, actively building a culture of impactful scholarship. As signatories of the Concordat to Support the Career Development of Researchers, we are dedicated to enabling our researchers to thrive and contribute meaningfully to the economic, social, and cultural development of North Wales and beyond.
