Dr Alison Clarke

Research Fellow (Insights North East) She/Her
Back to team

Alison recently joined the Wales Centre for Public Policy as a Research Associate. Here she contributes to the Centre’s work to generate, synthesise and mobilise research evidence to support public services and the Welsh Government in tackling pressing economic, environmental and social challenges.

At UPEN, she supports the Practice work strand: this means joining the dots between people, disciplines and ways of thinking, and creating those planned serendipity moments that spark learning and action.

Alison has loved a good project ever since primary school, when she once spent her half-term holiday working on a pop-up Beaufort scale. Since then her ‘squiggly’ career has spanned French/Italian translation, a PhD in the history of art dealing, Professional Services roles at Newcastle University, and a knowledge mobilisation post at Insights North East.

Please do get in touch with her if you’d like to chat about knowledge mobilisation or the metaphorical joining of dots!
