Dr Sara Gracey

Sara is a member of UPEN Programmes Advisory Board.

Sara’s primary job is for HM Treasury, where she am Head of Engagement for the Darlington Economic Campus. She oversees an internal staff engagement portfolio focussed on making the campus a great place to work, developing fulfilling career pathways for colleagues, and focussing on how to support meaningful collaboration with those based at DEC and in the region.

Sara also holds an external engagement portfolio that covers schools and communities outreach, regional business engagement, and how HM Treasury engages with regional universities in areas of developing better economic policy. This connects to her role at UPEN, and she’d be delighted to hear from interested parties in this area in particular.

Sara completed her PhD and Postdoctoral fellowship at Durham University, with an interest in public sector leadership and inclusive workplace climates. She loves any excuse to integrate quantitative methodologies into her day job, and she pretend to like running, but is yet to be convinced!
