Lizzie Hudson

Lizzie is the Policy Engagement Coordinator at UPEN, where she leads work on UPEN Connect, a new service designed to link public policy professionals with the expertise and evidence they need. Before joining UPEN, she worked as Events and Communications Manager for the ESRC Education Research Programme at UCL, supporting research that brought education policy, practice and evidence into closer conversation and sparking her interest in knowledge mobilisation.

A Chartered Marketer with the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Lizzie also holds the Association for Project Management’s Project Management Qualification (PMQ). She brings experience across communications, events, partnership‑building and operational delivery in universities and the cultural sector.

Outside work, Lizzie is a parent to two energetic boys. She holds a red belt in Taekwondo, has recently taken up creating stop‑motion films with the children using their toys, and still insists that Like a Prayer is the greatest song ever written.
