Video Competition: Are you a knowledge mobiliser with a story to tell?

Calling all knowledge mobilisers! Take part in UPEN’s ‘A Day in the Life of a Knowledge Mobiliser’ video competition – and see your work showcased at the UPEN Conference! Enter by 29 May.

Dr. Chris Hewson, UPEN Co-Chair and Programmes Co-Director (Business Development and Partnerships) on why you should enter the Knowledge Mobiliser video competition.

UPEN develops the capabilities of professional and institutions that undertake engagement between academia and policy, via our People workstream.

Knowledge mobilisers come in many shapes and sizes and can come to the role via both academic and policy career routes.  Which is why we’re exited to launch our short video competition celebrating the many ways UPEN members bring research and policy together.

Preparing for a major conference? Heading into Parliament? Supporting an academic colleague with research communication or policy impact? Embedded in a policy setting Fellowship? Or collaborating with your local authority, or a community partner? Whether you’re an early-career knowledge mobiliser or a seasoned veteran, show us what knowledge mobilisation looks like in practice.

The competition aims to highlight the diversity of people, roles and activities across the UPEN Network, and their career paths into Knowledge Mobilisation. Tell us about the moments, meetings and milestones that make your work unique.

We’d love to hear about your career route into knowledge mobilisation too, how you got here, and where you hope to go next!

There are prizes for the best entries, with winners announced at the UPEN Annual Conference this June. So grab your phone and help showcase the impact and variety of knowledge mobilisation across the UK!
